Bird and Wildlife Food Products
We carry many bird and wildlife feeding products. The following are our main lines:
Wild Birds Unlimited Birdseed
Select Blend is for ground-feeding situations.
Deluxe Blend is for tubes and WBU Supreme wooden feeders, and is designed to feed the birds at the feeder, while also feeding birds on the ground.
Supreme Blend is for tubes and any wooden feeder, and is designed to feed just the birds at the feeder with little spillage on the ground.
Choice Blend is for tubes and any wooden feeder, and is designed to feed just the birds at the feeder with little spillage on the ground. Similar to Supreme Blend but with peanut pieces added. A favorite of Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, woopeckers and Bluejays!
No-Mess Blend is a unique seed blend that features seeds that have had their shells removed so only the meat of the seed is left. No hulls on the seeds makes for tidier feeding since there's no debris on the ground for you to clean up. Pound for pound, our No-Mess Blend offers the best value because there is no uneaten seed waste that you are paying for. The birds eat everything. Try feeding No-Mess Blend in your hopper feeders and tube feeders.
All our Blends are made of the stuff birds like to eat! We learned long ago the better the blend, the better your bird watching and the lower your annual birdfeeding cost!
Birdseed that is an apparent good deal price-wise, like the kind most often available at non-WBU outlets, is made inexpensive by adding seeds like milo and wheat. However, in most regions these seeds are not eaten by birdfeeder birds. So, cheap seed is the most expensive way to feed the birds, since there is so much uneaten waste, and you lose out with poor quality birdwatching.
We also stock all the non-blended birdseeds like WBU Premium Oil Sunflower, sunflower chips, safflower, Nyjer® (thistle), millet and wildlife ear corn.
WBU Suet Products
We carry our own high quality line of suet products for insect eaters like woodpeckers, chickadees, nuthatches, bluebirds, wrens, mockingbirds, etc.
Use “suets” for shady/warm to winter temperatures. Use “suet doughs” for sunny/hot situations. We have quite a few varieties, so keep trying them out until you find the most popular for your backyard. “Naturally Nuts®” and “Simply Seed®” are probably the most popular, but many customers would not dare switch from “Bird Bug Bites!”
Our suets come in cakes and tubs and are designed to fit in our WBU suet cages.
Wildlife Foods
We love to feed those other critters out there too! We stock ear corn, peanuts, and wildlife blends and all the feeders which hold these foods.
Nectar
Our advice? Make your own! Use table sugar and tap water. For large quantities, boil the water, then measure, then refrigerate. Keep it fresh and replace it often.
Hummingbirds: 1 part sugar to 4 parts water.
Orioles: 1 part sugar to 8 parts water.
Butterflies: 1 part sugar to 18 parts water.
